Free as a Bird: A Heartfelt Andy Griffith Memoriam

The legendary Andy Griffith passed away on Tuesday of a heart attack at the age of 86. In light of his passing, we have a heartfelt "In Memoriam" promo created for TV stations carrying The Andy Griffith Show featuring Ron Howard as Opie.

"It was Andy's effort and vision, week in and week out, that kept modifying and defining and redefining what Mayberry was and what it was supposed to represent," Howard told ET about Andy's influence on the beloved program, which ran on TV from 1960-1968. "That show wouldn't have been what it was without Andy."
